Hello rtrvr.ai Community,

We're excited to roll out rtrvr.ai v9.0, a significant update focused on refining your experience, boosting agent accuracy, and adding powerful new organizational tools! This release brings a complete UI overhaul based on your feedback, making rtrvr.ai more intuitive and transparent than ever.

We've redesigned panels for clarity, introduced a Chat Library, enhanced multi-step workflows, and re-architected our agent for more reliable performance and accurate action execution.

Please make sure to update the Chrome Extension, Chrome should do it automatically but if you are running into issues you can manually trigger by going to chrome://extensions/, toggling “Developer mode”, and clicking update.

🎨 Major UI/UX Overhaul: Polished, Intuitive & More Transparent! 🎨

We've given rtrvr.ai a fresh coat of paint and significantly improved usability based on your valuable feedback:

• Refined & Polished Look: Enjoy a cleaner, more modern interface across all panels.

• Know Every Button: Confused about what a button does? Now, simply hover over any button to see a clear label and description explaining its function.

• Revamped Sheets Workflows UI:

  • Simplified options and added detailed descriptions for each workflow type.

  • Direct Google Drive Picker: Sheet selection is now done directly via the familiar Google Drive Picker. No more confusion about missing sheets in the selection dropdown!

  • Permission Clarity: Remember, rtrvr.ai only has access to Sheets you explicitly grant permission to via the Drive Picker or those previously created by rtrvr.ai.

• Guide the Agent Mid-Flight: You can now provide feedback and clarifications while the agent is executing a task, helping steer it if needed.

• Organize Your Work with the Chat Library:

  • Easily create new chats or fork existing ones from the main panel.

  • Segment your different projects, prompts, and use cases across distinct chat sessions for better organization.

• Quick Links in Settings: Find easy access to our Documentation, Discord community, and YouTube tutorials directly within the Settings panel.

• Smooth Finish: The agent now conveniently scrolls back to the top of the panel after completing a task.

⚙️ Enhanced Multi-Step Workflows: Seamless Tab Reuse!

Building complex, sequential automations just got smoother:

• Reuse Tabs Across Steps: When creating Multi-Step Workflows (via the Compose Task feature in the History Panel), rtrvr.ai can now intelligently reuse the same browser tab across different steps in your sequence.

• String Prompts Together: This allows you to chain multiple distinct prompts and actions together, operating sequentially on the same webpage or context without needing to reopen tabs unnecessarily.

🧠 Smarter & More Accurate Agent: Backend Re-architecture!

We've re-engineered our agent to utilize "tool usage" for triggering agentic actions.

• Accuracy Boost: This fundamental change leads to significantly improved accuracy and reliability in how the agent understands and executes your requests.

• Note on Speed: While accuracy is boosted, you might notice a slight initial slowdown in some complex scenarios as the agent utilizes these more robust tools. We believe the trade-off for enhanced reliability is well worth it!
